Introducing Txtra, RCS-First, Compliance-First Political Texting

Txtra is a political texting platform built on two ideas most tools treat as afterthoughts: compliance and verified sending should be the default, not features you bolt on. Every message a campaign sends through Txtra runs the compliance checks before it leaves, and the platform is built for the RCS era of verified, branded messaging. This post is the starting point for the product side of this blog, what Txtra is and what makes it different.

What is Txtra?

Txtra is the platform campaigns use to reach voters by text, broadcast and peer-to-peer, with the plumbing that makes texting work handled for them. It covers the whole program: sending, two-way conversations, list growth, voter data, segmentation, analytics, and templates, in one place. The difference is the foundation it's built on, so a campaign spends its time on strategy and message, not on fighting deliverability and compliance.

What makes Txtra different?

Two things built into the core, not added on:

  • Compliance-first. Every send runs through the compliance layer, consent, opt-outs, quiet hours, registration, so a campaign is compliant by construction rather than by remembering to be. Compliance is the floor the whole platform stands on. See /compliance/.
  • RCS-first and verified. Txtra is built for verified, branded messaging, so voters see who's texting them and messages deliver, in a world where trust decides whether a text lands.

What's on the product side of this blog?

Going forward, this Product & Roadmap category covers Txtra's features and where the platform is headed. Upcoming posts go inside each part of the product, Broadcast, P2P conversations, the voter file and audience tools, list growth, analytics, and templates, plus how AI runs through the platform and what's coming next. If the rest of this blog is about how to run political texting well, this category is about the tool built to do exactly that.
