What Txtra collects, what it does with it, and what it will never do.

Txtra is a political text-messaging platform for campaigns, committees, and advocacy organizations of any party. This policy explains what Txtra collects, how it uses it, how it shares it, and the choices you have. It covers our website, our platform, and the Txtra vote-reminder service.
For the contact lists and message data our customers upload or create in the platform, Txtra is a processor. We handle that data on the customer's instructions, for that customer's campaign only, and the customer's own privacy notice governs how they collect and use it. For our account, billing, website, and vote-reminder data, Txtra is the controller. This policy covers what Txtra does with data in both roles.
Account information you give us, name, email, organization, and login details. Contact lists you upload, and the message content and delivery records the service generates. Website and usage data, including pages viewed, device and browser details, IP address, and cookies that keep the platform running and measure how it is used. Payment information, handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
If you sign up for a Txtra vote reminder, we collect the information you provide on that form, your mobile number, city, and state, and your name if you choose to give it.
Run the service. Deliver the messages you send, keep your compliance records, show you your reports, secure the platform, support you, and meet our legal obligations. That is the list. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not use your data to train products for anyone else.
We send texts only to numbers that have consented, and we honor STOP and HELP automatically on every send. As a registered sender, we follow carrier and 10DLC requirements.

Text messages travel carrier networks unencrypted, a property of SMS itself, so sensitive data does not belong in one.
The vote reminder is a nonpartisan service. If you opt in, we use your number only to send you a reminder to vote for the election you signed up for. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for marketing or for any candidate. We delete vote-reminder numbers after that election unless you have separately opted into something else, and you can reply STOP at any time.
With the carriers and infrastructure providers that deliver the service, under contracts that bind them to this policy's limits. When the law requires it, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service. In a merger or acquisition, under these same commitments. We never sell your data, and we never share one account's lists with another.
Sell your data. Sell your contacts' data. Share lists between accounts. Use your campaign's traffic to help anyone else's campaign.

STOP is honored instantly and forever. Contacts can request their data or its deletion through you or through us, and deletion purges on schedule with the audit trail of the deletion kept.
You can access, correct, or delete your account information, and ask for a copy of it. Contacts can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws, such as California's, to access, delete, correct, or limit the use of your personal information, and to not be treated differently for exercising them. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of on that front. Our website uses cookies to keep it working and to measure how it is used. We do not use them to build advertising profiles or sell your browsing data. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
We keep data as long as we need it to run the service and meet legal and compliance obligations, then delete it. Consent and opt-out records are retained for the periods the law requires. Vote-reminder numbers are deleted after the election.
